Description | Taraxacum aristum (mountain dandelion) going to seed in the Steppes State Reserve, Steppes, Tasmania. It might be me but from the few plants I found, it seemed to me that the inflorescence elongates as the plant goes to seed. Most flowering plants were about 5cm tall, but fruiting plants were taller. T.aristum is a threatened species within Tasmania and listed as Rare (pdf). |
