| Description | We are uncertain as to the genus of this Robber Fly, ?Zosteria or ?Cerdistus. Perhaps more likely to be Zosteria. We located this Robber Fly resting in the sun, in level, open chenopod-mallee woodland, on red loamy calcareous soil, with some Acacia collettiodes and Exocarpus aphyllus. March flies were active and we speculated that the Robber Fly was 'on their case'. Temperature at the time was approx. 30 degrees Celsius. |
