Description | Swamp Lily or White Ginger-Lily (Hedychium coronarium) an invasive species in the creeks along Nandroya Falls Track in Wooroonooran National Park off the Palmerston Hwy, Queensland, Australia. Photographed on 23 April 2016. An invasive species occuring along stream edges and spreading throughout rainforest patches. This is a very bad weed in Australia, and also is invasive in Brazil and elsewhere. It is native to the Himalayan regions of Nepal and India. |
