Description | White-rumped Sandpiper at Culburra. These birds breed in the Arctic, then migrate to the far south of South America. They are rare vagrants in Australia. This one has been happily hanging around Culburra since early January. (Lousy photography conditions during my brief visit, but I'm unlikely to see another one of these anytime soon, so I thought it still worth posting.) |
