Description | I was taken aback to find this cockroach in the early morning sun after a night of about 3C. It is an Australian Cockroach, Periplaneta australasiae which is generally considered to be introduced to Australia though Rentz, 2014, says this is not established as they have been so widely distributed in trade. Australia has one native species of Periplaneta. My first sighting was in England in warm commercial premises. |
