Description | A visitor to our bathroom this week. It is a fly but commonly called a moth-fly due to its hairyness, people often confuse it with being a tiny moth. Fred photographed the Thin Film Interference effect which is "a natural phenomenon in which light waves reflected by the upper and lower boundaries of a thin film interfere with one another to form a new wave. " en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thin-film_interference An interesting article on this phenomenon is: ?How extremely stupid not to have thought of that.? |
