Description | The endemic Xerochrysum collierianum (quartzite everlasting) flowering on gravel slopes on Mt Claude, Tasmania. This is my first encounter with this fairly restricted species. A relatively recent addition to the flora (described in 2004) this plant thrives in quartzite outcrops, a habitat found only in the western half of the state. Quite a nice plant and possibly (given it's habitat preference) tough as old boots! |
