Description | I think this is an introduced species, Parasola plicatilis Pleated Ink Cap. I noticed several, including some with pale flat caps, in the lawn at about 9.30 a.m. I went out an hour later to photograph but they were already starting to wilt and turn black and some had their heads turned downwards. The stems are delicate and transparent. By the afternoon the fungi had disappeared. |
