Description | There are now three Painted Snipe at the Jerrabomberra Wetlands in Canberra. Yesterday, all three were feeding together. This afternoon the adult female was out feeding on her own with no sign of the other two until an hour and a half later (just as I was about to give it away). These two stuck close together while foraging in the mud. The male is on the left and the immature female on the right. (I've gone for a panoramic crop here to cut out the foreground OOF grassy bank that I was peering over.) |
