Description | Vernicia montana ; Family: Euphorbiaceae Native to southern China, Burma, and Vietnam. It is very interesting tree with a long history of people using Tung oil, the same as Candlenut tree Aleurites. It actually has a synonym Aleurites montanus I've never seen this tree before and I was thrilled to find it as a street tree in Tamborine (QLD, Australia). It is monoecious (??????????) with individual flowers either male or female, but produced together in the inflorescences. www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=1...
