Description | A container of brown rice lurked, forgotten, in our kitchen cupboard for months, and here's the consequence. It was identified as Pyralidae, Phycitinae by Graeme Cocks (Insects of Townsville), who went on to say it's, "almost certainly Cadra cautella, the Tropical Warehouse Moth or Almond Moth, an international pest of stored grain." Underside view is adjacent. |
