Description | Mating pair of Tawny Coster, Acraea terpsicore, in parkland in Townsville. The male (more strongly coloured) is on the left. The Tawny Coster, an Asian species, was first noticed in northern Australia five years ago and has been spreading southwards ever since. It reached Townsville about the end of April. For more on its spread, see malcolmtattersall.com.au/wp/2017/05/tawny-coster/ on my blog. |
